Carroll motorists are advised they may need to find alternate routes tomorrow (Friday) while the Main Street railroad crossing is closed for an estimated five hours. According to Police Chief Brad Burke, Union Pacific Railroad crews will be working at the intersection from 9 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. The crossing was unexpectedly closed last Friday for unscheduled maintenance, and the teams will be working to implement a more long-term repair. Other railroad crossings in Carroll are expected to remain open on Friday.
