The St. Anthony Foundation has announced it will hold its first annual St. Anthony Gala in November in support of proposed renovations to the hospital’s emergency department. The organizing committee, led by local physicians and members of the medical community, recognized the opportunity to create a sophisticated and enjoyable event that unites individuals in backing a vital service that area residents rely on regularly. Proceeds from the gala will be directed toward renovations in the St. Anthony Emergency Department, including expanded space for IV infusion/hydration treatments, a secure area to accommodate acute mental health patients until suitable placement is found, as well as upgraded safety and security measures for both patients and staff. The St. Anthony Gala will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Carrolton Hotel and Event Center. The event will feature live and silent auctions, a catered dinner, and entertainment from Sioux City band, Above the Covers. Sponsorship opportunities are available at various levels.
