The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County have selected a Panora early education center to receive the group’s second-quarter contribution. Following their May meeting, the organization announced $13,400 in donations to be presented to Little Charger Early Learning Center, comprising contributions from members and several employer matches. Laura Robson, president of Little Charger Board of Directors, says, “The Little Charger Early Learning Center is thrilled to be receiving the Q2 funds from the 10 Squared Women Group. For reference, our current facility is in an old house that is extremely costly to maintain. The one room makes it very difficult to do age-appropriate activities for the children we currently have enrolled, along with accommodating all the childcare needs in our community.” The center is currently engaged in a capital campaign to construct a new facility adjacent to the elementary school in Guthrie Center. The new facility aims to provide a safe and age-appropriate environment for children, accommodate more childcare needs in the community, and add approximately 50 new childcare spaces.
