The Glidden Parks and Recreation Department is preparing for its first annual Art in the Park later this summer, and organizers are requesting help from the public to ensure they have adequate materials before the camp. Because they are starting this program from scratch, they are in need of almost all types of supplies, such as sidewalk chalk, paint trays, brushes, acrylic paints, stick glue for hot glue guns, and much more. Donated items can be dropped off at Glidden City Hall Monday through Friday. A complete list of needed items can be found included with this story on our website. Glidden Art in the Park is scheduled for Aug. 8 through Aug. 11 at the Kruger Shelter House. Space is still available in the 3rd/4th-grade and 5th/6th-grade groups. Parents or guardians interested in registering their children should contact Glidden City Hall by calling 712-659-3011.
