Tuel, Schoenfeld Named 2023 Carroll County Ag Scholarship Recipients

The Carroll Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2023 Carroll County Agricultural Scholarship recipients. Morgan Tuel, a graduate of Glidden-Ralston High School, and Kaden Schoenfeld, a graduate of Carroll High School, have been recognized for their outstanding commitment to agriculture and pursuit of higher education in ag-related fields with a $500 scholarship. Tuel, the daughter of Travis and Michelle Tuel, has been immersed in agriculture since her early years growing up on a farm near Coon Rapids. With a passion for educating others about the industry, Morgan plans to attend Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) on her path to becoming an agriculture teacher. Her active involvement in FFA and 4-H has influenced her decision to continue her studies in the agricultural field. Schoenfeld, the son of Leon and Janell Schoenfeld, has been a dedicated member of the Carroll Area FFA, serving as Plot Manager for two consecutive terms and as Chapter President during his senior year. With a keen interest in mechanics, Kaden aims to pursue a career in Diesel Mechanics and will be attending Northeast Iowa Community College in the fall. The Carroll County Agricultural Scholarship is a collaborative effort between the Carroll Chamber of Commerce and the Carroll County Cattleman’s Association. Generous donations from local businesses, the Chamber Ag Golf Outing, Carroll County Cattlemen, and proceeds from a special 1987 livestock auction enable the annual scholarship program.
