Several high school seniors in the Carroll Broadcasting listening area were recognized by Governor Reynolds for their academic excellence at the 21st Annual Governor’s Scholar Recognition Ceremony. Maggie Ragaller Ar-We-Va, Kali Irlmeier Audubon, Sophia Polking Carroll, Abigail Hofbauer Coon Rapids-Bayard, Taylor Aldag East Sac County, John Whitver Glidden-Ralston, Mabel Langel IKM-Manning, Vanessa Borelli Kuemper Catholic, and Keira Hammen South Central Calhoun were all recognized. The ceremony was held at the end of April in Des Moines at the Iowa Events Center. Each high school in the state of Iowa selected a senior student with the highest academic ranking based on grade point average. This statewide program, sponsored by the Iowa Governors’ Office, Iowa High School Athletic Association, and Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, honored over 400 seniors across Iowa.
