Starting this week, the Sac City Public Library is hosting a book sale to clear some space in the library. The used book sale begins on Monday, May 8th, and runs through Friday, May 12th. According to Library Director Kim Nelsen, everyone is invited to stop in and see what the library has for sale.
The library takes donations of books, which are placed on the used bookshelf if the item is in good shape. Nelsen says all money raised from the sale goes to the Friends of the Library, and Nelson says the group helps them pay for different events and programs throughout the year.
The sale will be held during the library’s regular business hours. Those hours can be found included with this story on our website. Nelsen says even with the overload of books, the library is still taking donations. Again, individuals can come to the library next week and shop for $5 a bag for used books.
