City of Manning Honored With Keep Iowa Beautiful Robert D. Ray Award For Excellence

The City of Manning has been selected for the Keep Iowa Beautiful Robert D. Ray Award for Excellence for their efforts to enhance the community’s beauty, cleanliness, and attractiveness. The Robert D. Ray Community Award for Excellence is awarded annually to a town or city that has gone the extra mile to build a stronger and more vital Iowa community, culturally and environmentally. The award recognizes community beautification projects that have been supported or expanded by the town, including entryway improvement, housing, streetscaping, litter prevention, park/trail development, recycling, lighting, roadway improvement, incorporation of art landscaping, and public nuisance abatement. Former Governor Robert D. Ray believed that clean and attractive communities improve the economic vitality and cultural climate of where we live, work, and raise a family. In receiving the award, the City of Manning has demonstrated its commitment to enhancing residents’ overall quality of life. By investing in these beautification projects, they have improved not only the visual appeal of the community but also its economic potential. The Keep Iowa Beautiful Robert D. Ray Award for Excellence is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the City of Manning and its efforts to make the community a more vibrant and attractive place to live, work, and visit.
