Carroll Ward Four Councilwoman Carolyn Siemann announced this week that she plans to run for reelection in the upcoming city elections later this year. Siemann first took office on the Carroll City Council in 2006 and has served continuously since. Other council-level positions that will be on the ballot this November include the Ward Two seat, currently held by Misty Boes, one at-large seat, held by Councilman LaVern Dirkx, and City Mayor, currently held by Mark Beardmore. The formal candidate filing deadline opens Aug. 28 and runs through Sept. 21. The 2023 city/school district elections are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 7.
