Lake View City officials will return to the drawing board as no bids were submitted from contractors for proposed work throughout the city. According to City Administrator Scott Peterson, the city has multiple options in the future to try to gain interest in the project.
Petersons says the project was out to bid as a concrete repair project but has many miscellaneous tasks added to it.
Peterson says city officials will not scale back on the project, and they will be in discussion with contractors to find an interested party. Petersons notes this was a small-scale project that would have cost the city anywhere from $30,000 to $40,000. The proposed work will be paid from the city’s Local Option Sales Tax (LOST).
