During Monday’s meeting, the Carroll County Board of Supervisors will look at the county’s Local Option Sales Tax Revenue and host a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2024 budget. The meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. in the supervisor’s meeting room at the Carroll County Courthouse. The supervisors will open with discussion on the county’s LOST revenues and determine what percentage of those funds will be used toward property tax relief. A public hearing is also scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on the proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 budget. At their March 27 meeting, the supervisors approved the urban and rural tax levies, with the urban rate at $4.30166 and the rural levy at $7.3481. Other items on the agenda include a quarterly update from planning and zoning, approval of elected officials’ salaries, a resolution finalizing the FY24 county budget, manure management annual updates, and committee reports.
