Community members are invited to the Carroll Library for Farmers’ Coffee as Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach partners with the library for an hour-long presentation on gardening. With the spring season in full swing, the program will be about starting a garden. ISU Extension and Outreach Agronomist Mike Witt will be on hand to show participants some easy practices that result in a successful vegetable garden. The coffee will also explore the science of soil for a garden, when and where to plant different vegetables, and more. The event occurs at the Carroll Public Library on Tuesday, April 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. No pre-registration is required. The program is free and open to the public.
