The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education has approved a donation request to put the history of the Carroll Athletic Field up at the stadium. At last week’s school board meeting, Vicki Gach from the Carroll Historical Preservation Society and Mike McCaffery presented the school board a plaque detailing the history of the football stadium from when it was first built to the construction of the new venue several years ago. Gach provides a brief snapshot from some of the property’s history.

Gach says the school and city partnered early in the stadium’s history, and the athletic field was used for more than just sports.

McCaffery, who was previously employed by CCSD, says that people who look at the plaques will see history repeating itself.
