Registration For The 2023 Sac County Conservation Summer Camps Is Now Open

Registration for the 2023 Sac County Conservation Summer Camps is now open with spots on a first-come, first-served basis. Festivities get kicked off in June with campers learning about mammals in Iowa. The cost for the June camp ranges in price from $10 to $30, depending on the participant’s age. July’s camps are all about aquatic bodies. Campers will learn about waterways in Iowa and the types of plants and animals that live in them. The cost for this camp also ranges from $10 to $30, dependent on age. There is only one camp in August, and it is split between boys and girls in grades 5th through 8th costing $50 per person. During the camp, participants will participate in various outdoor activities. Day one will be at Hagge Park, where individuals learn basic survival skills. Day two will be filled with kayaking down the North Raccoon River. All campers are asked to bring a sack lunch and a drink.  Camps are outside, so plan accordingly.
