Carroll County Conservation is offering a new program for families on no-school days scheduled in February and March. During the camps, individuals will participate in different nature-educated themed events throughout the day. This program is for kids in kindergarten through fourth grade, and there are a total of three camps in Feb. with one in March. The first camp is scheduled for the beginning of next week on Monday, Feb. 13, and is available to Carroll and Kuemper students. However, the program is currently full, and a waiting list is being gathered. The next camp falls on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Manning Library for IKM-Manning students, and the final one in February is set for Friday the 24th at the Coon Rapids Library for Coon-Rapids Bayard Students. Carroll County Conservation will round out the scheduled programs on Monday, March 6 at the Glidden Library for Glidden-Ralston students. Two snacks during the day will be provided to children in attendance, but they will need to provide their own sack lunches. For more information or to register your children, individuals can contact Carroll County Naturalist Kristen Bieret by email at kbieret@carrollcountyiowa.org.
