The Carroll County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to host a public hearing on the issuance of tax-exempt bonds for St. Anthony Regional Hospital at their meeting on Monday. The hearing begins at 9 a.m. in the supervisors’ meeting room at the Carroll County courthouse. It results from a request from hospital administrators to have the county sponsor up to $6 million in hospital revenue bonds for planned capital improvements at St. Anthony. The use of tax-exempt bonds opens the door to reduced interest and tax payments for the hospital. Following the public hearing, the board will take action to formally approve the authorization and issuance of the bonds. The supervisors will then hear from Coon Rapids Main Street representatives on the organization’s work and success in their community before heading into secondary roads department updates from County Engineer Zac Andersen. They close the meeting with consideration of design fee changes from Bluestone Engineering, manure management annual updates, and committee reports. The Monday, Aug. 22 meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the courthouse. The proceedings will also be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube Channel. The full agenda and details on how to attend remotely can be found included below.
