Audubon’s Music In The Park Tries Karaoke Thursday Evening

The Audubon Public Library is opening the stage to the public during tomorrow’s (Thursday) Music in the Park. Beginning at 7 p.m. on the City Park stage, contestants will compete for cash prizes in the karaoke contest. The top prize is $200 for the winner selected by the audience, with $100 going to second place and $50 for third. The audience will cast votes by placing $1 bills into containers set aside for the contestants. In addition to the quality karaoke, the Audubon Chamber of Commerce will sell root beer floats, and a local Relay for Life team will offer sack lunches to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Music in the Park is provided at no charge. Individuals wanting to compete in the contests are asked to register in advance by calling the library at 712-563-3301.
