No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Highway 30 in Carroll. The Carroll Police Department responded to the scene near the intersection with 8th Street at approximately 2:50 p.m. Their initial investigation found a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 45-year-old Corey Mehlhaff of Carroll, was traveling westbound on the highway in the inside lane. A 2020 Mazda CX5, driven by 69-year-old David Eischeid of Omaha, Neb., turned from 8th Street onto the highway, causing Mehlhaff to veer into the outside lane to avoid a collision. The pickup struck a westbound 2009 Kia Spectra, operated by 20-year-old Lauren Boysen of Johnson, Neb., resulting in functional damages to the Chevrolet and Kia. Eischeid was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
