Lake View city officials have announced the dates for their annual communitywide clean-up days. Residents are invited to take advantage of this scheduled event to rid themselves of unwanted items in their homes and clean up their properties. Staff selected Monday, May 9 and Tuesday, May 10 for the 2022 dates, which coincides with residents’ regular garbage and recycling pick-up day. The cost is $10 per household. Participants will have items they’ve placed on their curbside removed by city crews and contractors. Residents must separate materials into three piles: metal, wood, and general rubbish placed in trash bags. Staff will not accept construction and remodeling debris, tires, yard waste, paint, and hazardous chemicals. Appliances can be picked up, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, microwaves, and more, but residents must purchase a $20 appliance sticker from Lake View City Hall before the clean-up days.
