Sac County Conservation Board (SCCB) Naturalist Kristen Bieret announced earlier this week she would be stepping away from the organization. Bieret joined SCCB in 2020 and left her mark at Hagge Park and beyond in her two years there. During her tenure as county naturalist, Bieret facilitated efforts to expand the display and exhibits within Hagge Park’s Conservation Education Center and broadened the programming options available to conservationists of all ages. Her final day with SCCB is Tuesday, April 19 following the Earth Day is Everyday celebration planned for April 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grant Park just northwest of Auburn. County officials have already started the search for her replacement.
