The Sac County Sheriff’s Office reports they have made an arrest following an investigation into a series of recent burglaries in the county and surrounding area. On Friday, deputies executed a search warrant at a Lake View home in the 100 block of N. Lake Street with assistance from the Sac City and Lake View Police Departments. Authorities say they recovered multiple items that had been stolen in at least three separate incidents over the last several months. Twenty-six-year-old Kennedie Charlene Ford of Lake City was taken into custody for her involvement in the thefts and booked into the Sac County jail on charges of ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony; first-degree theft, a class C felony; third-degree burglary, a class D felony; and fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor. Sac County Sheriff, Ken McClure, says an investigation into the burglaries is ongoing, and additional criminal charges are expected.
