The Storm Lake Police Department reports two men were taken into custody Thursday on allegations of sexual misconduct. Thirty-four-year-old Harney Dosalua of Lakeside was arrested following an investigation into a claim he had sexually assault a nine-year-old child in December of 2018. Dosalua was booked into the Buena Vista County jail for second-degree sexual abuse, a class B felony. Thirty-six-year-old Oman Onyongo of Storm Lake was arrested after a separate investigation found he had allegedly inappropriately touched a 14-year-old juvenile while at a residence in Storm Lake on Dec. 31. Onyongo was already in custody at the Buena Vista County jail on unrelated charges when he was served the additional count of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, an aggravated misdemeanor. The Iowa Department of Human Services and MercyOne Child Advocacy Center assisted the Storm Lake Police Department in both investigations.
