The Lake View City Council is drawling closer to finalizing their Fiscal Year 2023 budget. Lake View City Administrator, Scott Peterson, says the process is going smoothly but they do have a few details to work out.
The council has been approached by businesses in town to partner on projects that would be included in the FY23 Budget. Peterson says they are still working to see how that partnership will pan out.
One of the infrastructure installations is estimated at more than a million dollars. If this is approved in the FY23 budget, it would help develop housing in areas of Lake View. Peterson says they have saved money up over the years to do other projects as well.
Peterson says the water main project will be covered with about 80 percent grant money. FY23 goes from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. City budgets are due to the Iowa Department of Management by March 31.
