The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office reports more than $10,000 in damage occurred in a car/deer collision earlier this week near Guthrie Center. Authorities say a 2016 Ford Explorer, driven by 36-year-old Amber Lyn Godwin of Guthrie Center, was traveling northbound on Highway 25 near the intersection with 190th Street when it struck the animal as it was crossing the roadway. The occupants did not report any injuries following the crash. Law enforcement urges motorists to use increased caution when traveling near dusk and dawn, as that is when deer are most active.
