The Signet Masonic Lodge #264 of Carroll recently presented St. Anthony Regional Hospital with a $2,500 donation to be used toward the purchase of new equipment for patients experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. The equipment, known as a LUCAS device, delivers safe and effective chest compressions with better blood flow to the brain compared to regular CPR. Lodge member, Joe Reed, says, “The Masonic Lodge understands the importance of giving back to our community, and this project is a great way to do that.” Each piece costs $20,000, and the St. Anthony employee giving campaign is hoping to generate enough funds to purchase two. As of Thursday, they are only $3,600 short of their $40,000 goal. For more information on the St. Anthony employee giving campaign or to make a donation, contact the St. Anthony Foundation at 712-794-5287.
