The Carroll City Council has a relatively light agenda for their meeting on Monday with Graham Park creek improvements, change orders to the street maintenance facility and budget workshops on the docket. The city did not receive any bids from contractors on the creek project last fall, and City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says they are hoping to revive that effort in 2022.
According to Pogge-Weaver, the council will be considering an amendment to an existing professional services agreement with Shive-Hattery, who is the engineer for the project, to allow them to assist with rebidding the creek stabilization. He says the council is also to review a cost-saving change order to the street maintenance building that is currently under construction.
In total, the change order will cut about $13,100 from the project, which reduces the contract price for the project to $4.52 million. The council is in the midst of budget preparation season and was not able to get to all the items they had hoped for during their most recent workshop. As a result, Pogge-Weaver says they will hosting a brief budget session at the end of the meeting. Monday’s proceedings are scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. at Carroll City Hall and are open to the public. The meeting will also be available through the city’s YouTube Channel and the local-access cable channel, CAAT6.
