CCSD Board Of Education’s January Meeting Scheduled For Monday

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education is scheduled to meet at the beginning of next week for their January meeting. They will convene at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17 at the Adams Elementary School boardroom. Superintendent, Dr. Casey Berlau, says one of their first items of business is continued discussion on the district’s stated mission, vision and beliefs.

School officials review these items every few years to ensure they accurately represent the district’s goals. The board then moves into administrative reports, which includes consideration of revisions to the Teacher Leadership and Compensation (TLC) plan.

They will also review a proposed sharing agreement with Audubon High School for girls’ soccer, set a public hearing date for the 2022/23 school calendar and addition of new course offerings for students. Berlau says the board will also need to approve a resolution requesting additional funds connected to increased enrollment in the district’s voluntary preschool program.

The board will close the meeting with updates to more than a dozen board policies and reinstate regulations that had been suspended due to the pandemic. Again, the Monday, Jan. 17 meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at Adams Elementary School. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. The full agenda can be found included below.
