Delores Kasperbauer of Carroll

Delores Kasperbauer, 90 of Carroll, died peacefully on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Swan Place in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2022, at St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Kevin Richter. Music will be by Kathy Halbur and Sherry Loughran. Lector and Eucharistic Minister for the Funeral Mass will be Vern Seidl. Gift Bearers will be Delores’ grandchildren. Casket Bearers will be Gary Kasperbauer, Aric Kasperbauer, Mitchell Sikkema, Katie Sikkema, Cody Wellington, and Dwight Kasperbauer. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll.  Additional visitation without greeting the family will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Friday at the church.  Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the Kasperbauer family at www.sharpfuneral.com.
Delores, the second youngest on nine children, was born on July 5, 1931, at Willey, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Von Bon) Brincks. She grew up in the Willey area where she attended St. Mary’s School and later St. Angela’s Academy in Carroll. On October 11, 1958, Delores was united in marriage to Delbert Kasperbauer at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willey.  Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Carroll where she was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Delores enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Church and active with the parish guild.
Delores is survived by her children: Diane Passarello of Nashville, TN, Gary Kasperbauer of West Des Moines, and Jane Sikkema of Carroll; eight grandchildren; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Diane Brinks of Carroll, Betty (Chuck) Parrott of Michigan, Ron Kasperbauer of California, and Dwight (Pam) Kasperbauer of Colorado; as well as many nieces, nephews, others extended relatives and many friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Delbert on April 2, 2018; and eight siblings and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Leonard (Louise) Brincks, Bernadine (Norbert) Rust, Agatha (Arnold) Hackfort, Roceal (Cy) Knobbe, Bernilda (Henry) Seidl, Alphon “Bud” (Ruth) Brincks, Melvina (Lawrence) Hahn, Donald Brincks and Carol Kasperbauer.
