A Carroll woman charged in Carroll County District Court following an altercation earlier this year pled guilty to two of the charges levied against her. Court records show 38-year-old Jennifer Lynn Stricker was arrested by the Carroll Police Department on May 5 on two counts of assault and two counts of fifth-degree criminal mischief, simple misdemeanors. Authorities say Stricker caused the victims to fear for their safety during an outburst in which she used a metal signpost to strike a door and destroy a child’s motorized bike. According to documents filed Thursday, Stricker pled guilty to one count of assault and criminal mischief and the remaining charges were dismissed. She was sentenced to 30 days in the Carroll County jail and over $500 in fines, surcharges and court costs. However, the jail term was suspended, and Stricker was instead placed on informal probation for a period of one year.
