Carroll Police Department Responds To Three Motor Vehicle Accidents Over The Weekend

The Carroll Police Department responded to three motor vehicle accidents over the weekend. The first occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of N. Grant Road. Their investigation found a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 41-year-old Megan Ladwig of Carroll, was traveling southbound and had stopped for traffic when the SUV was struck from behind by a 2009 Lincoln MKZ, operated by a juvenile driver. Functional damage was reported to both vehicles, and the teenager was cited for following too close. Officers were also dispatched to the 1200 block of U.S. Highway 30 at 12:01 p.m. Saturday for a reported two-vehicle accident. Authorities say a 2008 Toyota Highlander, driven by 30-year-old Anne Kluver of Audubon, was traveling eastbound and was slowing for traffic. At the same time, an eastbound 2015 Toyota Rav4, operated by 25-year-old Pashance Williams of Altoona, failed to slow and collided with the Kluver vehicle, which resulted in disabling damages. Williams was cited for failure to maintain control. The final reported accident occurred at 2:51 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of U.S. Highway 71. A 2000 Buick LeSabre, driven by 58-year-old Todd Miller of Spencer, was traveling on SW Access Road when he lost control due to a medical issue. He left the roadway and struck an electrical box near Carroll Dental Associates. Miller was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services for an evaluation. No citations were issued.
