Manning Regional Healthcare Center Now Offers DOT Physicals

Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) will now be offering Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals for commercial motor vehicle drivers. These physicals are required to be conducted by a medical examiner who is listed in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry, and MRHC’s Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), Samantha Quelland, has recently been certified to conduct the physicals. “One of our priorities here at MRHC is to provide services to our local employers, and in our mostly agricultural community, truck driving is a significant part of what our employers do,” says CEO Linn Block. “We appreciate Sam for taking this additional responsibility to provide another service to the patients and employers we serve.” Once a DOT physical has been completed and the driver is medically qualified, the medical examiner furnishes a copy of the results to that individual with a Medical Examiner’s Certificate. More information is available by calling 712-655-2072.
