Video Contest Will Earn One Iowa Community One-Of-A-Kind Water Tower Design

The Iowa Finance Authority and Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) have announced a new contest that challenges communities to showcase their hometown pride in a short video for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind water tower design by Iowa artist Laura Palmer. In their effort to recognize the importance of water quality, the contest supports the State Revolving Fund’s assistance to nearly 700 communities in financing water quality improvements. “This water tower contest is a fun way to highlight the fundamental role that water quality plays in making Iowa the first choice for families and businesses,” says Iowa Finance Authority Executive Director, Debi Durham. The video can be created by any individual or group but MUST be submitted by the city with authority over the water tower. These should be no longer than one minute and feature a water element from the community. Submissions will be accepted from Tuesday, Oct. 19 through Tuesday, Nov. 16 and then a public voting period will be held from Nov. 17 through Nov. 24 to determine the winning video. Full contest details are available at www.iowasrf.com.
