Guthrie County authorities have released details about a single-vehicle accident that occurred last Wednesday. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene on Soldier Trail, southwest of Panora, at approximately 11:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they learned that a 15-year-old female from Bagley was traveling westbound on Soldier Trail in a 2012 Ford Edge, but was driving too fast for conditions. She lost control and entered the west ditch, where the vehicle struck a utility pole. The driver was not injured, but a 15-year-old female passenger from Panora was transported by private vehicle for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident. There was a reported $5,000 in damage to the Edge.
