St. Anthony Regional Hospital has made an update to their visitation policy which will go into effect Monday, June 28. For the past several weeks, the COVID-19 positivity rate in Carroll County has remained below two percent and the regional referral area has remained under three percent. In addition, the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 has been recorded at zero to five over the same period of time as the number of vaccinated individuals in the county continues to rise. The marked improvement has resulted in the decision to return to normal visitation next week. This includes all inpatient areas of the hospital and outpatient clinic areas operated by St. Anthony. Independent outpatient clinics on the St. Anthony campus may have different visitation guidelines based on their parent organizations. The St. Anthony Nursing Home will continue to have restrictions in place, adhering to the guidelines for long-term care nursing facilities. In accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), masks will still be required for those over the age of two in all public areas of the hospital and screening of visitors for COVID symptoms will still be done at their destination. As always, anyone with infectious symptoms of any illness should not visit the hospital in any capacity other than as a patient. St. Anthony says this transition will also allow for the return of a key element in healing, the presence of family and friends.
