South Central Calhoun played well in every aspect of the game as they evened their record at 8-8. The Titans scored 10-runs in the 1st inning on a collection of hits, walks, hit-by-pitches. Emma Anderson started the game off with a single, Brielle Korleski was hit-by-pitch and Emma Geno had a sac fly, reached on an error and scored Anderson. The Titans batted 14 players in the 1st inning, picking up hits by Anderson, Mady Smidt, Ashley Hanks and Anderson again with a double.
Glidden Ralston responded in the bottom 1st as Vanessa Koehler got on base to lead things off and scored on a double steal with Elizabeth Lloyd taking 2nd base. Macy Snyder led off the 2nd with a single but Olivia Toms turned a nifty 4U-4-3 double play on a ground ball to 2nd by Summer Toms and the Wildcats would only get one runner past 1st base in the 3rd inning. Summer Toms entered the game in the circle just a 1/3 inning into the game and settled things down for Glidden Ralston in the circle. She made a great diving catch to end the 1st inning.
Sally Musselman was outstanding for the Titans giving up just 1 hit and allowing 1 unearned run in her 3 innings of work. The Titans scored their first five batters in the 2nd inning with Mady Smidt , Ashley Hanks and Emma Anderson all drove in runs, Anderson with a double. The Titans batted 10 players in the 2nd inning.
Emma Anderson led South Central Calhoun with 3 hits including a pair of doubles and 3 RBI. Mady Smidt added a pair of hits and drove in 2-runs. The Titans had six players score two ore more runs with Anderson scoring 3 times and Brielle Korleski, Kylee Schleisman, Oliva Toms, Mady Smidt and Ashley Hanks all scored twice.
Macy Snyder and Vanessa Koehler each had hits for the Wildcats and Koehler scored their lone run. Summer Toms pitched 2 2/3 innings allowing just 2 earned runs.
The Titans host Newell Fonda on Wednesday. Glidden Ralston falls to 2-13 and will host CAM Anita on Wednesday.

Audubon pulled away in a tie game in the 4th inning when Mattie Nielsen singled, scoring Johanna Sauers and moving Addie Hocker to 3rd. The Wheelers got on a roll with Hannah Thygesen tripling to score 2 and their lead was 4-1. Sydney Beymer singled to score Thygesen and the big inning ended with Kali Irlmeier hitting a 3-run home run. Katelyn Nielsen tripled in the 5th as part of a 10-run 5th inning that put the game away for the Wheelers.
IKM-Manning tied the game in the 2nd inning when Brooke Booth scored on a ground ball in the infield. Taylor Beckendorf singled for the Wolves in the 2nd inning but was stranded on base. Jessica Christensen continues to hit the ball well and singled in the 1st inning and in the 4th inning. Zoey Melton doubled in the 4th inning to score Christensen and she came around to score on a throwing error.
Sydney Beymer led the Wheelers with 3 of their 15 hits, she drove in 4-runs and scored once. Kali Irlmeier added a 3-run home run and Katelyn Nielsen had a solo home run in the 3rd inning. Nielsen finished with a triple and 2 RBI and 3-runs scored while Irlmeier had 3 RBI. Hannah Thygesen tripled for one of her 2 hits along with 4 RBI and 2-runs scored. Kylee Hartl had a double and 2 hits with 2 RBI and scored twice. Mattie Nielsen also had 2 hits and scored 3 times. Kali Irlmeier got the win, going all 5 innings with 5 hits and 3 earned runs. She struck out 6.
Jessica Christensen had 2 of the Wolves 4 hits and scored 2 of the runs. Zoey Melton doubled, driving in 2-runs and scored and Taylor Beckendorf had the other Wolves hit. Ella Richards took the loss going 3 2/3 innings, allowing 10 hits and 5 earned runs.
Audubon improved to 13-6 overall and 9-6 in the Western Iowa Conference. They have won six straight. The Wheelers host Tri Center on Thursday. IKM-Manning falls to 0-15 overall and in the Conference. The Wolves head to Boyer Valley on Wednesday.

Kuemper played well and pushed the top team in the Hawkeye 10 but fell short on the road. The Knights managed two hits and got a walk from Kenzie Schon but struggled to get the offense going against Atlantic pitching. They had a chance to get on the board in the 4th inning as they loaded the bases with 2 outs. Hailey Ostrander started the rally with a single, Kenzie Schon was intentionally walked and Kenadee Loew reached on an error that loaded the bases. They challenged as well in the 6th inning. Jordan Schwabe singled with 1 out, Brianna Lux reached on a fielders choice and Kenzie Schon got on by an error with 1 out. The Knights couldn’t get a hit with runners in scoring position. Atlantic scored twice in the 1st inning and added single runs in the 3rd, 5th and 6th innings.
Hailey Ostrander and Jordan Schwabe had the hits for Kuemper. Chloe Venteicher took the loss, going 6 innings with 9 hits and 3 earned runs.
The Knights fall to 14-10 overall and 7-5 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference. The Knights host St Albert on Thursday.
