The Audubon County Secondary Roads Department announced today (Thursday) a section of 220th Street near Audubon will be closed for bridge repairs this summer beginning next week. The mile-long stretch of road between Goldfinch and Heron Avenues will close at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 14 and is expected to remain closed until Aug. 16 while crews work to replace the Indian Creek crossing. Affected residences will still be accessible from the west via Goldfinch or from the east via Heron. County officials also announced today (Thursday) the bridge repair project on Kingbird Avenue between 310th and 315th Streets has been completed and the road is now open to thru-traffic.
