State Qualifying Track Meets will be held Thursday beginning At 4:00. In Class 3A the Carroll Tigers head to Glenwood. Class 2A has Kuemper at Treynor while East Sac and South Central Calhoun compete at Manson NW Webster. The area Class 1A teams are separated between three different sites with Ar-We-Va at West Harrison, Paton Churdan goes to Madrid and Audubon will host a meet with Coon Rapids Bayard, Glidden Ralston and IKM-Manning.
Below is a breakdown of each State Qualifying site involving local teams. Here is a look at which kids are ranked in the top 3 of their qualifying meet and where they rank in the State in their class for that event. Some kids are ranked lower than 3rd in their qualifying meet but are ranked inside the top 24 in the state in their class and are also in the list below.
In Class 3A and 2A the top 2 finishers in each event will automatically qualify for the State meet, then the next eight top times, throws or jumps from all the meets will qualify. In Class 1A the State Qualifying meet champion is the only automatic qualifier. The state then adds the next 14 times, jumps or throwers. Each event at state will have 24 competitors.
