Boys Golf Results for Friday, April 30th, 2021

 

Newell Fonda at East Sac

 

East Sac welcomed Newell Fonda to town for their dual meet Friday where the Mustangs took home the victory. The Raiders fell short of winning the meet by one stroke with a score of 165 compared to Newell Fonda’s 164. East Sac’s top four golfers finished the course close to each other’s scores, ending the day in the high 30s to low 40s.

 

Joel Halbur shot well on the day ending with a meet low 39, earning himself medalist honors. Dylan Meredith finished two strokes ahead of Halbur, ending with a score of 41 and picking up runner up medalist honors in the process. Bradyn Burns and Jackson Stoltenberg finished one and two strokes ahead of Meredith, a 42 and 43 respectively.

Glidden Ralston at SE Valley

Glidden Ralston was on the road Thursday where they competed with four other teams at the Southeast Valley invite. In addition to Glidden Ralston, Greene County, Ogden, Manson Northwest Webster, and Southeast Valley competed at the meet. Glidden Ralston finished in fifth place with a team score of 258. Greene County won the meet with a score of 182. 

Kyle Olberding finished his day on the course with a final score of 54. Caden Smith contributed to his team score with a score of 65 on the day. John Whitver was one stroke ahead of Smith, finishing up with a score of 66. Tyler Brant wrapped up the scoring for Glidden Ralston, finishing the course with a score of 73. Sayer Schiltz of Greene County won medalist honors with a score of 41 while Cooper Carson of Ogden got runner up medalist honors with a score of 42.

South Central Calhoun at OABCIG

 

South Central Calhoun wrapped up a good day of golf Friday when they faced off against OABCIG and earned runner up medalist honors. South Central Calhoun finished the dual meet one stroke behind OABCIG, getting a team score of 177 while OABCIG got a 176. Despite the team score, all four of the Titans best golfers finished their days in the low to high 40s. 

Bryan Steig finished the course with a score of 41 and earned himself runner up medalist honors. Axton Miller of OABCIG was named medalist of the meet with a score of 36. Justin Hanks completed his day two strokes ahead of Steig, scoring a 43. Corey Hicks stayed close to his teammates in the individual scores, finishing his day with a 45. Brennen Holder rounded out the scoring for South Central Calhoun with a score of 48.
