The South Central Calhoun (SCC) Community School District is reminding young families that pre-school registration for the 2021-22 school year opens next week. To be eligible, students much be at least three years old by Sept. 15, 2021 to register for the younger section or four years old by the same date for the older section. Classes are split into morning and afternoon sessions held at the high school in Lake City and the elementary school in Rockwell City. Students meet four days per week with Wednesdays off. Tuition is $150 per month for the duration of enrollment with financial assistance available for those who qualify. Parents and guardians must complete the required paperwork and return them with the necessary documents to the school by April 30. School officials note families will still need to complete final registration in August with date and times to be published closer to the beginning of the 2021-22 school year.
