The Kuemper Knights pulled out close victories against Boone Thursday and walked away with a team victory. The Knights had a good day of winning and learning as they were able to win 57 matches while losing 53.
Jordan Schwabe was neck-and-neck in her singles match, but ultimately won 8-6. In her doubles match with Samantha Tidgren they fought hard, but lost 8-3. Tidgren’s singles match ended with a close loss for her with a score of 8-5. Alyssa Brant picked up a singles win at 8-3 and a dominant doubles victory, alongside Vanessa Breedlove, 8-0. Breedlove got a singles win of her own winning 8-3. Kesiah Janssen had the closest match of the day winning her singles match 9-8 (7-5). Fro Mtimukeye and Ella Patterson teamed up in doubles and nearly won their match, but fell by a close 8-6 score.

The Wheelers had a neck-and-neck day against Harlan, winning half of the singles matches and winning one doubles match Thursday. The team had many close matches in singles and doubles, winning 49 games while losing 51.
Kya Petersen picked up wins in singles and doubles, winning 8-3 in singles and winning her doubles match with Aleah Hermansen 8-1. Hermansen had a successful day as well, winning her singles match 8-6. Jill Denny won her singles match convincingly with a score of 8-1. Erica Rust battled hard in her singles match, but ultimately lost 8-5. Audubon’s other two doubles matches were close as well. Kate Tessman and Jill Denny came close but were unable to win their match, losing 8-4. Rachel Huess and Sophia Sebetka got even closer in their doubles match, but lost by three matches at 8-5.
