Kuemper picked up a nice road win on Thursday with all 6 of their golfers shooting in the 40s. They had the six lowest scores during the round and swept Medalist and Runner-Up Medalist honors.

Mitchell Badding was Medalist with a 42, finishing with two 3’s, two 4’s and three 5’s in the round. Jack Tiefenthaler was Runner-Up Medalist with a 43. Tiefenthaler had one 3, three 4’s and two 5’s. Nipping at both guys heals was Benicio Lujano with a 44 and Caleb Monahan with a 45.

Bondurant Farrar and Winterset At Carroll

Carroll improved to 5-0 in matches this season with a win over Winterset and Bondurant Farrar at the Carroll Country on Thursday. The Tigers had a strong day with their top four golfers shooting 49 or better and winning the Medalist and Runner-Up Medalist honors.

Drew Munson continues his strong start to the season with a 36 and Medalist honors. Munson finished his round with two birdies (Holes 1, 2) and par on six holes including four straight from hole 3 thru 6. His only bogey came on hole 7. Ty Nissen is also having a strong start to the seasonand finished with the Runner-Up Medalist honors with a 39. Nissen had 7 pars and two bogeys on holes 3 and 6. Bryce Berlau added a 47 and Collin Schlultes shot a 49 for the Carroll scores.

It was a good win for East Sac on the first day the wind didn’t play a factor on the course in over a week. The Raiders boys started on holes 1, 2 and 3 and even though they felt they started slowly they were able to settle in and give enough good scores to pick up another win. All six golfers shot 48 or below.

Dylan Meredith chipped well to help his day after struggling off the tee box. He landed several chip shots within a couple feet of the cup and putted well to win Runner-Up Medalist honors with a 42. Bradyn Burns nearly won the honor shooting a 43 with a solid all-around performance. Joe Langbein added a 46 and Caleb Villhauer and Jackson Stotlenberg each shot a 47 for the top 4 scores for the Raiders. Medalist honors went to Kody Elbert of West Bend Mallard with a 41.

The Crusaders finished in 5th place with a strong field at Jester Park on Thursday in an 18 hold meet. The Crusaders shot a 390 behind champion Des Moines Christian with a 342, Panorama a 346, Prairie City Monroe 357 and Greene County a 366.

Jake Weissenburger of Des Moines Christian was the low scorer with a 76. He was followed by Wyatt Appleseth of Panorama with an 83. Josue Ramirez took 10th overall for Coon Rapids Bayard with a 90. Preston McAlister added a 97 and was 23rd tied with Jacob Estrada who also had a 97. Jeffrey Kracht finished 30th with a 106.

South Central Calhoun had a really nice showing winning by 50 strokes on their home course on Thursday. They had three golfers shot in the 40’s and swept the medalist and runner-up medalist honors. Their top 4 guys all shot 50 or below.

Corey Hicks nabbed another Medalist honor with a 40. Hicks finished with 4 pars on holes 1, 3, 6 and 9. He birdie 4 and 5. Bryan Steig nearly took medalist honors with a 41 as he finished runner-up. He shot par on the first 5 holes he played. Justin Hanks added an 44 and Keaton Daniel shot a 50.
