Tomorrow (Monday) marks the beginning of Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach Week, and staff from the Carroll County office is inviting the public to celebrate with them. County Director, Julee Grell, says they would normally have in-person activities planned throughout the week but were forced to shift to a virtual format this year due to insufficient space for physical distancing.
Instead, Carroll County ISU Extension will be posting trivia questions on their Facebook page for a chance to win a spring gift bag.
ISU Extension tote bags will also be available throughout the week at the Carroll Public Library. Each of the 100 ISU Extension offices in the state will be engaging with their service area in different ways with details available on their individual websites and social media pages. While ISU Extension and Outreach was originally created to serve as a resource to rural agricultural producers, Grell says their mission has expanded to include a wide range of interests and educational topics.
Grell encourages Iowans to keep an eye on their local ISU Extension and Outreach’s Facebook for trivia questions with a chance to win prizes. Links to the area office’s pages can be found included below.. ISU Extension and Outreach Week lasts through Saturday, April 17.
