Carroll Middle School Social Studies Instructor, Tom Borchers, has been named the most recent recipient of the Pella Corporation Staff Member of the Month from the Carroll Community School District (CCSD). Teachers, staff and representatives from Pella surprised Borchers with the award Thursday afternoon. He was nominated by a colleague, Amy Madsen. According to her, Borchers goes above and beyond for his students and colleagues every day.
Madsen adds Borchers’ dedication extends outside of the classroom.
As a part of being named the Pella Corporation Staff Member of the Month, Borchers also received a $500 gift card to be used at his discretion. Borchers thanked Pella and his fellow teachers for the recognition.
Pella Corporation reviews nominations for staff members from Carroll and Kuemper Catholic and selects a recipient from each school every month.
