Face Covering Resolution Returns To Agenda For Carroll County Supervisors Meeting Monday

A resolution from the Carroll County Board of Supervisors that strongly recommends residents wear face coverings while in public places is set to expire April 15, but the topic is making a return to the agenda during next week’s meeting. The board will convene at the courthouse at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 12 with a report from County Engineer, Zac Andersen, on secondary roads as the first item of business. They will then hear a quarterly report from Sheriff, Ken Pingrey, and discuss the nearly completed jail’s food service plan and necessary equipment. County Recorder, Ashten Wittrock, will then provide her office’s quarterly report followed by a public hearing on a proposed Fiscal Year 2021 budget amendment. The board will open discussion on the face covering resolution near the end of the meeting. After an extended debate at their Feb. 8 meeting, the supervisors declined to implement an enforceable mask mandate for the county. A resolution that strongly recommends face coverings through April 15 was approved instead. The board will be discussing whether this resolution needs to be extended, enhanced or allowed to expired. They will close the meeting by reviewing a potential lease agreement at the Fricke Building, manure management annual updates and reports from committees. Monday’s meeting will be livestreamed with the full agenda and details on how to attend remotely included below.
