Audubon Girls Track Wins Another Meet, IKM-Manning and East Sac Both 6th on Friday

Audubon At Red Oak- Class A  

The Wheelers picked up this meet on Thursday to replace the meet they lost earlier in the day. It turned out to be a great addition as a young and talented team continued their great start picking up another meet victory. The Wheelers ran away with the Class A division winning by 81 points. They scored 183 team points while Essex finished 2^nd with 102.  The Wheelers finished first in 6 individual events and three relays.

Grace Slater and Elizabeth Zaiger dominated their individual events as Slater won the 1500 Meters in 5:47.75 and the 3000 Meters in 12:22.03. Zaiger took home first place in the Discus at 102-03 and the Shot Put at 34-06. Madison Steckler won the 200 Meters in 28.84 and was part of three 1^st place relay teams. Steckler teamed with Abigail Zaiger, Mattie Nielsen and Hannah Thygesen to win the 4×400 in 4:32.45 and the Sprint Medley in 2:03.01. Steckler, Katelyn Nielsen, Mattie Nielsen and Madison Burr won the Shuttle Hurdle in 1:15.29. Hannah Thygesen also won the 400 Meters in 1:04.57 and was 2^nd in the 800 Meters in 2:39.23. Abigail Zaiger added a 2^nd place finish in the 200 Meters in 29.11 along with being part of the 2^nd place Distance Medley team with Katelyn Nielsen, Madison Burr and Grace Slater as they ran a 5:05.06. Katelyn Nielsen was 2^nd in both her individual events going 18.16 in the 100 Hurdles and Long Jumping 14-10. Kodie Sporrer finished 2^nd in the 400 Hurdles in 1:20.21 and was part of the 2^nd place 4×800 along with Audrey Jensen, Jordan Porsch and Autumn Zaiger. They finished in 11:52.18. Audrey Jensen added a 3^rd place finish in the 400 Hurdles in 1:21.67 to her resume. Jaci Christensen was 2^nd in the Discus with a 87-08.

IKM-Manning At Denison Schleswig Co-Ed

IKM-Manning brought home sixth place at a tough meet on Friday with 49 points. Harlan claimed the championship with 182 points followed by Underwood with 110 points and Denison Schleswig with 84 points. The Wolves claimed two individual titles and two 3^rd places finishes.

Alexa Ahrenholtz had her best event in the 100 Meters and ran away from the crowd to win in 13.72. She said she felt strong as she crossed the finish line. She also won the High Jump at 4-10. She struggled on her first two attempts but settled in mentally on the 3^rd attempt and cleared it. She nearly missed jumping 5-0 and clipped her heal on her last attempt. Ahrenholtz teamed up with Maddie Snyder, Amber Halbur and Bianca Cadwell to finish 3^rd in the Distance Medley in 5:01.90. Mogan Hanson ran well and took 3^rd in the 1500 Meters in 6:07.36.

East Sac At Cherokee- Class 1A  

East Sac had three events finish 3^rd with two of those individual and one as relay. The Raiders took 6^th place overall with 57 points. Ridge view won the meet with 140 points, Wolverines were 2^nd with 134 points, Central Lyon 3^rd with 119 points and Newell Fonda was 4^th with 111 points.

Brooke Jergens and Meredith Brown were the top individual finishers for the Raiders with Jergens taking 3^rd in the 100 Meters in13.78 and Brown was 3^rd in the 400 Hurdles in 1:18.11. Jergens teamed up with Kenna Meyer, Hannah Pudenz and Olivia Blum to finish 3^rd in the 4×100 in 55.32.
