The Iowa Dental Board was recently notified of dental office scam attempts. Licensees have reported an individual is calling and acting as a board investigator or a staff member. The scammers are spoofing the phone number to make it appear as if the call is originating from the board’s offices. They are reminding all dental practices that they will never call and demand money or use any high-pressure tactics to obtain information.
