A Carroll man has been arrested after allegedly stealing items from at least two vehicles in Breda over the weekend. According to Carroll County District Court records, 32-year-old Brandon Dennis Blunk, who has also reported an address in Breda, is charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, aggravated misdemeanors, following an investigation by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities were contacted by the two victims, both of which reside in the 200 block of Maple Street in Breda, to report items missing from their vehicles. Court records allege Blunk was found to be in possession of the victims’ identification cards, purses, prescription medications and other various materials from inside the cars. Blunk was released on his own recognizance Sunday after appearing before a magistrate with his next court hearing scheduled for Thursday, April 22. Blunk was arrested on similar charges by the Carroll Police Department on March 15, and drug trafficking charges are also pending against him in Sac County District Court following an 18-month investigation by the Sac County Sheriff’s Office. Blunk’s Sac County trial is slated to begin on Monday, June 7.
