Audubon and Kuemper Girls Track At Nodaway Valley
Audubon had an outstanding night with six first place finishes including winning three relays. They also finished in 2nd place three times. The Wheelers were able to win the meet by 6 points over Nodaway Valley. They finished with 117 points to 111 for Nodaway Valley. CAM Anita took 3rd place with 73 points followed by Martensdale St Mary’s and Interstate 35. Kuemper took 6th place with 48 points and finished the meet with four events taking 2nd place.
Hannah Thygesen of Audubon won the 800 Meters om 2:33.42, along with helping the 4×400, Sprint Medley and Distance Medley teams also finish in 1st place. The 4×400, Sprint Medley and Distance Medley also had Abigail Zaiger, Madison Steckler and Mattie Nielsen. The 4×400 finished in 4:26.20, the Distance Medley ran a 4:46.68. The Sprint Medley finished in 1:59.71. Grace Slater of Audubon won the 3000 Meters 12:28.24, and was 2nd in the 1500 Meters in 5:42.81. Kodie Sporrer of Audubon the 400 Hurdles in 1:18.23. The Wheelers were 2nd in Shuttle Hurdle in 1:17.01 with Kately Nielsen, Mattie Nielsen, Madison Burr and Madison Steckler. Elizabeth Zaiger was 2nd in the Discus with her best throw at 107-06.
Macy Blum and Kenzie Schon of Kuemper continue to have good starts to the season. Blum was 2nd in the Long Jump with her best jump at 15-11.75 while Schon was 2nd in the Shot Put with her best throw at 36-01.00. Blum teamed up with Brookly Gifford, Kerrigan Irlbeck and Aubrey Heuton to finish 2nd in the Distance Medley in 5:01.82. Irlbeck, Gifford and Blum teamed up with Kailee Sturm to finish 2nd in the 4×100 in 55.80.
