A Carroll man who is already scheduled to appear in Carroll County District Court on a possession of methamphetamine charge in June is facing additional charges. The Carroll Police Department reports they arrested 56-year-old Michael O’Hara Sherrod at approximately 1:58 p.m. Sunday at 10th and Court Street. Sherrod remains in custody at the Carroll County jail on additional charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and interference with official acts. These charges stem from the arrest of Sherrod on Feb. 3 in relation to an early December traffic stop. Sherrod had been pulled over for driving while his license had been suspended, revoked or cancelled and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine at that time. However, when officers took Sherrod into custody on Feb. 3, methamphetamine was again found on his person and he attempted to flee on foot during the arrest.
