Longtime Director of Business Affairs for the Carroll Community School District (CCSD), Gary Bengtson, will be retiring at the end of the current fiscal year, and the search for his successor is underway. Superintendent, Dr. Casey Berlau, says the district is already accepting applications for the position, and they will soon begin narrowing down the candidate pool.
Berlau expects for applications to be reviewed with the top ones likely selected by the end of this week. The selection team will then set up dates and times with the chosen applicants to complete the remote interviews, which will involve a larger committee.
Berlau anticipates those interviews will take place sometime around the end of March. The last stage of interviews is tentatively scheduled for the first week in April and will involve a lengthier process.
While this timeline is not set in stone, Berlau expects they will be able to announce their next Director of Business Affairs no later than the end of the school year.
